Lego Land Meets The Star Wars Universe

When I was a child a lego set was a pretty crude clustering of building blocks that were slightly trendier than lincoln logs but not quite as cutting-edge as Atari. In the ages that have followed, depending on your taste perception in toys, that has varied significantly.

Like all wise companies, with even brighter marketing sections, Lego has altered with the times, better their bottom line, and brought a dash of adventure into their avant-garde product offerings. They resolved to accomplish this by partnering up with one of the most hot franchises in history and that being Star Wars.

And so came forward unto the universe, truckloads of Star Wars and Lego toys.

Even if you know nothing of the show, Star Wars is one of the most discernible brands out there. The tremendous boost to Lego’s bottom line, resulting from the commingling of these two historic products, has been a hot feather in their cap.  And their bank account. The merging of these two products has been a shift in the way consumers perceive Lego toys.  They’re now collectibles, and not meant to be torn apart and thrown back in the Lego cubes of parts.

I have spent a few hours perusing the selection of Star Wars legos and what I discovered was improbable. It’s tricky to believe, but Lego has detected a way to re-create just about anything from the universe of Star Wars with those in vogue little plastic cubes. You too can have the millennium falcon in Lego form freewheeling over your bed, while Darth Vader stairs malevolently from your headboard. Whatever it is you fancy from the universe of Star Wars, Lego makes it, you can buy it, and put it together as a collectible to display any way you like. It’s hot to be able to buy collectables that you know will be of a superb quality.  Neither Lego, nor Lucas entertainment, have put out anything less then stellar products.  You know you get your moneys worth. These would make a extraordinary father/son project so consider going ageing school when you are looking for the next gift for your little loved one.

So if you’ve been sitting there thinking to yourself, I sure wish I had some Legos to play with.  Your more fortunate than you know.  Lego has currently joined forces with Star Wars, and a few other marvelous franchises yet to be named.
